A rainy day turned perfect…

We recently had the pleasure of shooting this fun couple at Sea Oaks Country Club.  While the bride was worried for a week about the weather, it cleared up just in time to see her future husband before the ceremony.  Thanks for making the day fun, Michelle and Don!

Party in Philly - Cat & Kevin

When Suzanne and I first met Cat & Kevin we knew we where going to shoot their wedding :). We had a blast with them during our initial consultation in our studio.

Once the details of their wedding were laid out, we knew their wedding would be awesome! Cat & Kevin’s wedding took place in Philadelphia. The kicker was we where going to shoot at many of the spots Suzanne I use to hang out at way back in our dating days.

It was great to be back in Philly. 1st we hit the Philadelphia Art Museum (believe it or not, we managed to stop visitors from using the stairs so we could shoot). Next, we boarded the restored ship from 1904 called the Moshulu for the reception. Couldn’t ask for more unique stuff!

Check out the shots, enjoy.

Chris

‘No Rain’ - The Avenue, Leza & Eric

Thanks to Melissa at The Pampered Bride, we hooked up with this great couple.  Leza & Eric had an intimate wedding at The Avenue in Pier Village in Long Branch, and luckily there was no rain.  But they came prepared with umbrellas in hand!  The ceremony was rooftop overlooking the ocean and then reception inside the funky set-up of the bar/lounge.  A beautiful cake from Pink Cake Box and music from Mike and Bob at Sound To Go made the day complete.  Here’s to a couple very much in love!

Starfish & Basketball - Liz & Jason

This is a really fun couple.  Liz and Jason share a love of basketball & the beach, so we were able to incorporate that into their wedding.  Jay and the guys took some time in the AM to shoot hoops, while the ladies were becoming beautiful.  Liz and Jason braved a chilly beach for a beautiful outside ceremony and photo shoot at The Water’s Edge.  All their guests had a great time - Water’s Edge never fails to produce great times!  Sand, shells, starfish and some basketball - great combination! Congratulations Liz and Jay!  Special thanks to my friends and the vendors:

Allaire Chapel & The Water’s Edge - Tim & Kim

We had the pleasure of photographing Tim & Kim last month at Allaire Chapel (a favorite!) and The Water’s Edge (another favorite!).  A beautiful day resulted in beautiful images.  The weather in April in NJ can be challenging, but we had a great day in the park and on the beach.  We were also lucky enough to work with some of our favorite people:

A Race Down The Aisle - Rachael & Chris

Our Belmar beach e-session couple finally tied the knot on a beautiful April weekend.  Rachael and Chris have a great love story that involves running.  He proposed at a race and they have been off and running ever since (ha-ha, pun intended!)  This couple indulged us with some race props on the wedding day, with great results!  Specially ordered sneakers from Nike were the perfect touch.  The party continued at The Waterview Pavilion in Belmar.  We loved working with you guys - we are still talking about your wedding.

Belmar Beach - St Patrick’s Day Wedding

I love a fun couple in love, congratulations to Patrice and Frank!!!   I was hired to photograph their wedding for a few hours 3 days before St. Patrick’s Day.  The wedding had a St. Patrick’s Day undertone, which was fun to work with. The ceremony was held at Chateau Inn & Suites in Spring Lake, really a pretty place.  The ceremony was at Matisse on the beach in Belmar. Needless to say, this wedding was a blast :).

Enjoy the photos,
Chris

Meg & Chris - McLoone’s Rum Runner

I had the pleasure of shooting a sweet couple for their intimate wedding at one of my favorites - Rum Runner.  After 2 weeks of cold and crappy weather, a beautiful sunny day showed up for Meg & Chris.  The staff at McLoone’s did a wonderful job with the ceremony and room set-up - thanks to Virginia and Lauren and all the staff.  Also, Bonnie from Petal Beach did a great job with the flowers and Brian Kirk and the Jerks gave a great performance.  Best Wishes to Meg & Chris!

Belmar’s Bar ‘A’ ~ Engagement photo session

Ok, that was fun.

Jessica and Kenny are tying the knot this May at McLoones Pier House.  As part of their wedding preparations, they wanted to hire us for an engagement session to get familiar with being in the spotlight in front of the camera.  After a few emails and phone calls with Kenny, I got the go ahead to really think outside of the box.  Long story short, we decided to shoot at the popular Jersey Shore club, Bar Anticipation in Belmar.  We really hoped to photograph some of the engagement sesison on the beaches of Belmar, but it was just too cold out.

I am going to rank this session right up there with our past ‘outside of the box’ session at Costco.  Jessica and Kenny, I had a great time working with you - Suzanne and I are really looking forward to your wedding.

This session goes out to all the guys who think engagement sessions are lame.  They really do not have to be.  Enjoy, Chris
