Our Belmar beach e-session couple finally tied the knot on a beautiful April weekend. Rachael and Chris have a great love story that involves running. He proposed at a race and they have been off and running ever since (ha-ha, pun intended!) This couple indulged us with some race props on the wedding day, with great results! Specially ordered sneakers from Nike were the perfect touch. The party continued at The Waterview Pavilion in Belmar. We loved working with you guys - we are still talking about your wedding.

Breakfast of Champions!

St. Rosa of Lima, Belmar

This is how you look when your bridal party gives you a Fine Art Wedding Album as a gift!!! The bride’s sister contacted me to purchase a gift certificate from CLB for an album - a BIG album!!!

Good times racing down the boardwalk

We are looking forward to designing a beautiful album!
Best,
Suzanne
I love a fun couple in love, congratulations to Patrice and Frank!!! I was hired to photograph their wedding for a few hours 3 days before St. Patrick’s Day. The wedding had a St. Patrick’s Day undertone, which was fun to work with. The ceremony was held at Chateau Inn & Suites in Spring Lake, really a pretty place. The ceremony was at Matisse on the beach in Belmar. Needless to say, this wedding was a blast :).
Enjoy the photos,
Chris

Ok, that was fun.
Jessica and Kenny are tying the knot this May at McLoones Pier House. As part of their wedding preparations, they wanted to hire us for an engagement session to get familiar with being in the spotlight in front of the camera. After a few emails and phone calls with Kenny, I got the go ahead to really think outside of the box. Long story short, we decided to shoot at the popular Jersey Shore club, Bar Anticipation in Belmar. We really hoped to photograph some of the engagement sesison on the beaches of Belmar, but it was just too cold out.
I am going to rank this session right up there with our past ‘outside of the box’ session at Costco. Jessica and Kenny, I had a great time working with you - Suzanne and I are really looking forward to your wedding.
This session goes out to all the guys who think engagement sessions are lame. They really do not have to be. Enjoy, Chris

Hello,
I just wanted to share some images of the new Tim McLoone’s Supper Club, located in Asbury Park. I recently had the opportunity to experience and photograph the ballroom. This place has an incredible feel to it, needless to say I called Suzanne in the middle of my shoot - “we are coming here one night for dinner and live music”. The club hosts live entertainment Friday and Saturday nights - and weddings.
Yep, the club is an amazing place for a wedding. Plus it’s right on the beach, really cool in our book. Good to see new life in Asbury Park!! Check out McLoone’s website for more information or contact our friend Rachael in the banquet office directly 732.774.1155 - rkoeppel@mcloones.com.
Enjoy,
Chris

Finally - I am all caught up with our blog posts for 2008 weddings! We ended our year with a great couple, Matt & Lara, with a beautiful New Year’s Eve wedding at Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ. The boys relaxed with a shave at “Shaves” in Wall, NJ while Lara and the girls glammed it up at home in Freehold, NJ. This was possibly the most laid-back couple yet, with a few major differences in wedding themes. They had an “Un”-bridal party - everyone involved got to wear what ever they wanted and never once complained about taking picutres!!! We were banned from the aisles of church, so we perched ourselves up in the balcony for artsy ceremony photos - loved it! College pride took over: the bride attended Michigan State and the groom is Fighting Irish from Notre Dame. But in the end, New Year’s came and a great time was had by all. Congratulations Matt and Lara!!!

Cold feet? Not Matt…

The “Un”-bridal party.

Best Friends!

Seeing her groom for the 1st time.

Beautiful, old church - very drafty from our perch in the balcony!

Chris being creative - I just really like this shot. Killer shoes!

1st kiss of 2009!
Enjoy! - Suzanne

Warmest thoughts and Best Wishes,
Chris, Suzanne, Sophia & Abigail
Tis the season for giving. We received $40 cash in the mail today with a note “This $40 is for pictures I downloaded from your website”. Suzanne and I are scratching our heads since we do not sell images from our website, nor do we offer downloads. The envlope had no return address, but we would love to know who mailed us this money. Thanks mystery Santa!!

I can’t thank Ashley and Anthony enough for taking me seriously on my location recommendation for their engagement session. As crazy as it may seem, I knew the Costco store in Brick New Jersey would be the perfect place for a photo shoot and I wanted to challenge my creativity. When discussing the session with them, I questioned their lifestyle, interests - where they would they go on the weekends if they were not planning their wedding? Once they stopped laughing, in unison they answered “Costco. We are there all the time, that’s where we met.”
The session was an experience to say the least - even with the looks and commentary from customers, we had a blast! A few people even wanted to get in on the photos. Despite several department managers that were not too happy with what we were doing, I got in a few crazy shots and I think the pictures we created rock.
The session was all about fun. Suzanne and I can not wait until their wedding. I’m looking forward to the next “out of the box ” idea for a session, so if you ‘re interested, get in touch with us. Please don’t be shy!
Thanks and Enjoy,
Chris

What started out like your typical ‘let’s catch the bouquet’ moment, quickly turned into a wrestling match. It was something to see two bridesmaids’s jumping away from the rest of the girls in line for the toss; each of them had a hand on the bouquet as they hit the floor.
We quickly got the sense of what was happening and just kept shooting. Neither of the girls would let up once guests started cheering them on.
It took one of the girls to pin the other to the ground with her foot & rip the flowers out of the other bridesmaid’s hand. In the end, one got the bloom, the other got the stems!
You should have seen the look of the best man who caught the garter. Very few of our weddings still do the garter and bouquet toss - this wedding was refreshing!
Had to share,
Suzanne
